Near North Health, a longstanding pillar of Chicago's healthcare landscape, is seeking a visionary and compassionate Chief Financial Officer to join our dedicated team. Since our inception in 1966, we have remained committed to our mission of providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality primary healthcare services to all, regardless of their financial circumstances.

As Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to serve primarily low-income uninsured or underinsured residents of Chicago's medically underserved communities. Your expertise and leadership in financial strategy, operations, and management, will further solidify our position as one of the largest providers of community-based primary care in the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive the strategic financial planning process, ensuring alignment with Near North Health's mission and objectives. Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to support organizational growth and sustainability.
• 
  Risk Management and Compliance: Oversee comprehensive risk management strategies, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure adherence to HRSA grant requirements, Medicaid, Medicare, and other funding sources' reporting and compliance standards.
• 
  Effective Communication: Masterfully communicate complex financial information to a broad range of stakeholders, including non-financial staff, to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
• 
  Operational and Financial Oversight: Manage the finance department's day-to-day operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and adherence to accounting standards.
• 
  Team Leadership: Provide direction and oversight to the finance department, ensuring professional growth, operational efficiency, and a culture of high performance and accountability.

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 
  Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• 
  Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable manner to a variety of audiences.
• 
  Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a proven track record of effective financial forecasting and risk management.
• 
  Experience with healthcare financial regulations and grant management, including Ryan White.
• 
  Proficient in financial software and technology tools to support forecasting and decision-making.
• 
  Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
